Character Notes:
So Angra is the latest addition to the team. After Nova left, we needed another member to pick up the slack, so in comes Angra. She’s actually played by Nova’s player too, so see if you can spot some trends!
“A young woman who might be oddity in all aspects. She has long silver hair with red highlights, red eyes, and wears a form-fitting short dress, red, black, and white, with strange designs along the shoulders. Her legs have what seems to be tattoos on them of a similarly strange black and red geometric design. She doesn’t wear anything else aside from that, not even shoes, except for (at times) a long white cloak that works well for hiding her body. She might appear a little spacey at times, but those eyes of hers could never miss a single soul.”
Also in the player’s words: “She is somehow even less expressive than Nova.“
Cold, calculating, other-worldly.
But we made some progress on Nova so I’m sure things will work out with Angra, right?
Right??
I mean, it’s not like she’s named after Angra Mainyu, Zoroastrian incarnation of destruction and all that is evil, right?
In other news, she’s a copy of Death. Yes, the Death. Like the one from Soul Eater.
And she eats people.
Honestly, the rest of the team found out about this in the Shadow Realm ™ so there were other things to be concerned about. And also she promised not to eat us so that was a plus.
Music Notes:
I actually wrote this track during a D&D session because I figured, why not?
Kind of amazing that I could do that since usually it takes me an ungodly amount of time to think of a melody and then even more time to add drums and harmony.
I guess it’s because I was reusing a lot of material from a previous project I did in high school. It kind of just… snuck in, and once I realized that, I started referencing my old sheets to see what I had done then. It’s definitely revamped and better timed now though.
It’s kind of a never ending loop this one. I mean, Obi’s and Erina’s themes loop, but this one is just kind of a relentless cycle. I wanted to have that kind of intensity and persistence when representing Angra.
Looking back at the inspiration list, I guess I imagine Angra as kind of a mix between Gengetsu (shudders) and Seija. Huh. Oddly fitting, though they’re a fair bit more expressive than Angra.
